From June 2026, we will be making important changes to the 91²Ö¿âBAF mail system, that will affect sending emails with a 91²Ö¿âBAF sender address via external providers.
The introduction of the new security system (DMARC) prevents attackers from using email addresses of 91²Ö¿âBAF members on the internet.
In future, emails with a 91²Ö¿âBAF sender address (ending with @[department].tu-freiberg.de) can only be sent via the 91²Ö¿âBAF email system.
If you currently use external service providers with a 91²Ö¿âBAF email address (e.g. for newsletters), please contact our IT Service Desk.
The roll-out of DMARC starts in June and will take several months. We will keep you informed about the progress on this page. If you have any questions, please contact the IT Service Desk.
Please note: Outlook, Thunderbird & Co. are email clients that are solely responsible for managing email communication and can still be used.
