Last winter semester, Fabian Bertram, a student on the Master's degree programme in "Energietechnik", studied in Ljubljana, Slovenia. A surprise awaited him back in Freiberg: the International Office selected him for the German Academic Exchange Service's (DAAD) #OneInOneMillion campaign.
As part of the #OneInOneMillion campaign, 91²Ö¿â Bergakademie Freiberg has nominated Fabian Bertram as a representative, as he opted for the University of Ljubljana as his Erasmus host, a university that is rarely chosen by 91²Ö¿âBAF students. "I can definitely recommend an Erasmus stay in Slovenia. You meet other students who have also consciously chosen a country that is not the first one you think of when planning a semester abroad. An Erasmus semester abroad is a great opportunity: you experience for yourself what really connects us in Europe!"
Michaela Luft, Coordinator of Exchange Programmes at 91²Ö¿âBAF, presented Fabian Bertram with the campaign gift as one in a million: "As a small gift from the NA DAAD, we presented him with a certificate and an Erasmus+ bag with various little things that students can certainly use. As part of Erasmus+, we are delighted to enable students at our university to take part in an exchange and to have contributed to this remarkable figure."
