The Studium Generale programme for the 2026/27 winter semester has been published. It is not only aimed at students and staff, but is also open to all interested members of the public. In lecture series and colloquia, interdisciplinary topics and new research findings are presented in an understandable way so that science can be experienced and understood by everyone - the spectrum ranges from historical topics to AI.
In this semester, the program addresses contemporary topics, including various aspects of the topic "publicity" (e.g. how to measure public opinion? Answers from historical science, historical policy: how companies 'make history', public opinion creates science),.
Many new and interesting offers of the library (e.g. equipment permits: podcast studio - 3D printing - VR glasses, communicate scientific topics with podcast and VR, AI in everyday life - after-work workshop, library research on historical holdings), new courses of study that were not previously represented in the brochure - such as selected chapters of additive manufacturing or business process management and business intelligence - as well as the offer "data centers - the new basic infrastructure" enrich the program. A completely new soft skill course, which clearly shows the importance and the lifelong negative effects between the innate and the sometimes learned "wrong" dexterity (i.e. right- or left-handedness) is also new. And also the series "what does (us) democracy mean?" continues and invites with interesting guests to think and discuss.
